This is great - you can also create a single loop which 'crosses out' multiples of other primes up to quite a bit... by unrolling the loop and finding the pattern of multiples, which always repeats. Having a hard-coded loop which eliminates multiples turns out to be very performant as well... This is one aspect of my favorite interview question, how to determine if a number is prime? Lots of fun.

I once had a team challenge where everyone on the team implemented their own algorithm to see who could make the fastest prime detector.

The best part about this is that there are so many layers of the answer, it's easy to talk about the problem at many levels and depths of optimization...

You can just get the <a href="http://lowest-rate-loans.com/topics/mortgage-loans" rel="nofollow">mortgage loans</a> or college loan and feel yourself fine

Like your website. Pretty cool. You should get some footage of the gnarly stuff Phil is doing on his unicycle these days and put it up. Pretty sick stuff.

Time accelerates as you age. When you are 1yrs old, a year will seem like a lifetime to you. When you are 100 yrs old, a year will pass in what seems like 1/100th of a lifetime. I have found this to be true in my experience and believe this is why people exccel at things that they learn when they are young. The time spent learning that "thing" is a more densely spent time than if you learn that "thing" when you get older.

Hi Dmitry,

Randomly stumbled across your page as I was lookingfor climbing training tips (great klimb program, btw!) - anyway - as a fan of GTDing myself I also recommend getting hooked up w/ jott.com. Great for a to do list on the go, for setting reminders for yourself etc. in case you forget your voice recorder. The transcription is pretty dead on! I've found that I can set a 'to do' (via voice) and have it emailed to me which automatically adds itself to my ical and then, later, to my blackberry when I sync up. While it sounds like you have a pretty great system worked out for yourself, jott.com may be something you'd end up really having a use for. They're Seattle based, too.

-Val

(ps - i am also a fan of iGTD, a great GTD program, but agree with you that the GTD software is way too structured. but check out iGTD!).

Very inspiring and true. Recently passing the 30 mark and just now starting to learn programming which has always been something I've wanted to do. Before I took this venture on I was going downhill emotionally because I felt life was slipping by way too fast.
